Caretaker and Cleaning Supervisor
36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Monday to Thursday 12.15 pm – 8.30 pm & Friday 12.15 pm – 8.15 pm, with some flexibility
Salary PS6: £24,780 to £27,317 per annum
(Call outs & possible weekend lettings will be paid as additional hours)
28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 30 days annual leave after 5 years’ service
We are looking for a Caretaker and Cleaning Supervisor to manage and supervise the maintenance of the school buildings and site to agreed standards and cost effectively, liaising with the Premises Manager. You will be required to manage outside contractors and liaise with other bodies to ensure all building requirements are met. You will also be responsible for securing the school site at the end of the day and you may be called out, outside your working hours to deal with security problems, make emergency repairs or allow access to the site.
This is a responsible role within the school and we are seeking to appoint someone with a positive approach to work and the ability to work well within a team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising the cleaning staff so previous experience of managing a team is essential. You must also have the ability to prioritise and plan your own workload in the context of conflicting priorities.
